The release of new solo album, Opus 7 “The Cross-over”
The accordion recital on the 6th June 2010 by Nihad Hrustanbegovic in the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam with the presentation of his new CD Opus 7 "The Cross-over was a great success. Everyone was touched by Nihad's new compositions for solo accordion. An overwhelming applause after every composition and at the end of his accordion recital a standing ovation from a full concert hall. Biography
Nihad Hrustanbegovic (born 1973 in Bosnia) is composer and accordionist.
He started his music education at age of nine at the music school at Bijeljina, Bosnia. From the age of 15, he started professional musical education in the Music college of Tuzla. Between 1988 and 1991, Nihad won five different prizes as accordionist at the “Concurs for music students of Bosnia and former Yugoslavia”, among the others three prizes as soloist. In 1995 He continued his music education in Netherlands at the ArtEZ - College for arts at Arnhem and Messiaen academy – special school for master of music performance. Hrustanbegovic received his Bachelors degree in 2000, and in 2002 his Master of Music degree.
He cooperates with a many artists among others with Al Di Meola, Grace Jones, The jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw, “The Corpus” from Amsterdam, Flairck and Mozes Rosenberg. Nihad Hrustanbegovic realised first solo album ‘The Best of Concert Accordion’ on March 27th 2007. The debut presentation of this CD was in the National Dutch television in the‘De wereld draait door’ - on March 28th. The Best of Concert Accordion, a self-produced recording, includes classical transcriptions (Bach, Scarlatti, Grieg, Paganini), original contemporary works for solo accordion (Gubaidulina, Schmidt), and world music compositions (Semionov, Hrustanbegovic). In the same year he composed and played music for the new TV commercial for Heineken Extra Cold. On 6th juni 2010 he gave the Accordion recital in Kleine Zaal of Het Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and had presentation of his second solo CD Opus 7 The Cross-over.
