5th june: Geir Draugsvoll in S. Petersburg

In St. Petersburg, the “Mariinsky theatre Symphony Orchestra will perform under the conduction of Valery Gergiev and the participation, at The show will begin at 8.00 p.m. and the musicians will play "Kikimora" by Anatoly Lyadov, "Piano Concerto No. 3 in D minor, Op 30" by Sergei Rachmaninoff, "Suite from music for the ballet: The Miraculous Mandarin" by Bela Bartok, and "Fachwerk" by Sofia Gubaidulina. "Fachwerk" is an important part of the repertoire of Sofia Gubaidulina and Geir Draugsvoll because the composer herself said that she was inspired by the bayanist in this last work of her, of recent release.
