The iTRIO Trio was founded on 1 October 2015 in Copenhagen.

Its members are Helga Kristbjörg Guðmundsdóttir, Jón Thorsteinn Reynisson, Jiona Ásgeir Ásgeirsson. They are all students of Professor Geir Draugsvoll at the Royal Danish Music Academy.

The trio has performed both classical concerts and other occasions, even in a metro station. They also did a Master held by accordion Professor Matti Rantanen.

Their repertoire ranges from classical to contemporary music, from rhythm to minimalist, from traditional to tango.

Their intent is to maintain a diverse repertoire of works from different periods and styles.

Their goals, then, are many. They want to open their country, Iceland, in the eyes of the public, thereby disclosing the potential of the accordion.

To achieve this goal, performing in numerous concerts with a new kind, not widespread in Iceland, the exhibition in Trio accordion and why you often work closely with local songwriters.
