Passion, awareness and artistic sensibility are the main qualities that distinguish the accordionist Raffaele Damen. His skills and his enthusiasm for music led him to win many awards including “Premio Civardi” Val Tidone, Stresa, PIF Castelfidardo, Luigi Nono, Abbado Award.
He has take part to numerous national and international festivals such as Roman Philharmonic Academy, Radio3 Suite, Italian Cultural Institute of Amsterdam and Paris, “Accordéons-nous” of Mons, PIF Castelfidardo, Philharmonic Society of Trento, Friends of Music of Ancona. His performances were broadcast by Rai1, Sky, Tv8.
He collaborates with renowned musicians including Claudio Pasceri, Luisa Sello, Federico Gardella, Sonia Bo, Danilo Comitini and Anastasiya Pertryshak.
Expert contemporary music performer; his concerts often include world premieres of pieces dedicated to him, among his solo and orchestra performances we remember “Fachwerk” by Sofia Gubajdulina’s together with FORM – Marchigiana Philharmonic Orchestra, with the Liviabella and LaCorelli Orchestra.
He has recorded for Stradivarius, Ema Vinci, DaVinci Publishing.
He teaches accordion classes at the Conservatory “B. Maderna ”in Cesena and Conservatory“ L. Marenzio ”of Darfo Boario Terme.
